Spark Drop
Najczęstsze pytania
How do I cut a rope?
Swipe across it with your finger or drag across it with the mouse. Any rope your stroke crosses is cut, so you can take two at once with a single long swipe. The spark keeps the speed and direction it already had, which is why the moment you cut matters more than where you cut.
When do Puff and Pin unlock?
Puff arrives at level eight and Pin at level sixteen. Both appear on a room that is built to need them, so you learn what they do by solving that room. Each level gives you a fixed number of uses, shown on the button.
What does Pin actually do?
It hooks a new rope from the spark to one of the marked anchors, mid-flight. That turns a falling spark back into a pendulum with a different centre, which is how you reach corners the original rope could never swing to. It is the tool that changes the shape of the game rather than just extending it.
Why did my rope break on its own?
That is a fraying rope — it is drawn in a reddish colour with a ring that fills up around its anchor. It snaps after a couple of seconds under load, so those rooms are about acting before it decides for you rather than waiting for a perfect swing.
Is Spark Drop free to play?
Yes. Spark Drop is completely free in your browser on ArcadeWhale. There is no purchase and no sign-up — open the page and start cutting.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. It runs directly in your web browser and works in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop, tablets and phones. Nothing to download and no plugin to install.
Do I have to collect all the motes?
No. The lantern is the only requirement; the three motes are optional and decide your star rating and your coins. The quickest route and the greedy route are usually different, which is where most of the replay comes from.
What happens when I hit a spike or a saw?
The room restarts immediately and you lose nothing but a few seconds. There are no lives and no penalty, so experimenting is free — the only cost of a bad idea is finding out it was bad.
How many levels are there?
Thirty, split into four sections. The first teaches cutting, the second adds Puff and the moving parts, the third adds Pin, and the last combines everything. Difficulty comes from new ideas rather than from the same room made tighter.
Does my progress save?
Yes. Your stars on every level, your coins and your spare puffs are stored on your device, so closing the tab does not reset you. You come back to the first level you have not finished.
