Tank the Hill
Frequently asked questions
How do I aim in Tank the Hill?
Drag on the battlefield to set two things at once, the angle of the barrel and the power of the shot, then release and fire. The readout beside your tank shows the exact angle in degrees and the power value, and an optional aim-assist can preview the trajectory. The wind arrow at the top tells you how far the shell will drift, so aim into it.
What are the five weapons for?
The cannon is balanced and reliable; the missile is fast and flat, which beats a headwind; the grenade arcs high and bounces to reach targets behind cover; the sniper is almost wind-proof and hits hard on a direct shot; and the nuke has one enormous blast. Because explosions reshape the ground, the best choice depends as much on the terrain between the tanks as on the distance.
Can I play against a friend online?
Yes. Create a room to get a short code, send it to a friend, and you play a live match over a relay connection, or take a quick match against whoever is in the queue. Both sides run identical deterministic physics, so the shot you see is the shot they see, and you can rematch straight after a game.
Does the terrain really change during a match?
Yes. Every explosion digs a crater, so the hills between the tanks are constantly reshaped. A run of near-misses can carve a trench that blocks your own low shots, and a well-aimed blast can strip away the ridge an enemy was sheltering behind, so planning around the ground you have created is a core part of play.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No install and no account. Tank the Hill runs entirely in the browser on desktop and mobile, with mouse or touch, and your coins and progress are stored locally in the browser so they carry over between sessions on the same device.
