About Whale Bay

Whale Bay is an arcade idle aquarium tycoon in cheerful low-poly 3D. You play the park keeper of a small seaside boardwalk: one sardine tank, an empty ticket booth and a fishing pier. Everything you build from there - three whole new wings of the park, six more tanks, a feed mixer, a staff of three and eventually a giant whale lagoon - is paid for with cash your guests literally drop on the ground in front of you.

The loop is pure arcade idle: stand in the fishing pen and fish leap into the basket on your back, then walk to an empty tank and your stack pours in by itself. A stocked tank comes alive with swimming fish, and living tanks pull in visitors. Guests queue at the booth, pay for tickets while you (or your cashier) serve them, then wander the park tipping at every tank they admire. All of that money piles up as physical stacks of bills - walking over a pile and hoovering it up never stops being satisfying.

The strategy is in what you buy first. Floor pads let you dump cash into new tanks, a feed mixer (fed fish earn 1.6x tips), and three hires that automate the grind: a cashier who sells tickets without you, a feeder who keeps tanks topped up, and a fisher who stocks new tanks on his own. Bigger pads open new wings of the boardwalk entirely - Reef Walk, Deep Cove and the Whale Lagoon sit roped off behind barriers until you pay to expand, and each one comes with room for the animals it was built for. Keeper upgrades raise your run speed, stack size, catch rate and ticket price, and VIP guests in gold shirts pay triple - so a busy park rewards keeping every system fed at once. Species do not all want the same thing either: jellyfish need feeding twice as often but pay far more for it, sea turtles are slow eaters you can leave alone for ages, and a hungry shark or whale tank earns almost nothing until you get food to it. Several build pads stay open at once, so the order you grow in - automate first, add a species, or pay to open a whole new wing - is your call rather than a fixed list.

Progression runs through seven tanks, from sardines and clownfish through jellyfish, manta rays, sea turtles and reef sharks to the whale lagoon that gives the park its name. Each living tank adds a star to your park rating, which raises both ticket prices and how fast guests arrive. Hire a cashier and the park even earns while you are gone - up to two hours of offline income waits when you return. After the whale arrives you can start a new season: the park resets, but every season multiplies all future income by 1.5x, forever.

The Whale Lagoon is the seventh and final tank, and it needs its own wing of the park. Build the six tanks before it, pay to open the Whale Lagoon wing at the barrier pad, fund the lagoon itself, then stock it with 60 fish from the pier - your fisher can help - and the whale moves in.

What do the boosters in Whale Bay do?

There are three: Rush Hour triples guest arrivals for 60 seconds, Golden Tickets doubles all income for 60 seconds, and Turbo Fins makes you 60% faster for 90 seconds. You buy them with pearls or earn them free by watching a short ad.

What happens when I start a new season?

A new season resets the park - tanks, staff, upgrades and cash - but permanently multiplies all future income by 1.5x per season. Pearls and boosters are kept, so each run through the park is faster than the last.
