Splash Rush tips & strategy
Lean toward the arrows before the bend starts
You can only fly off in tight bends. On straights and gentle curves even a full drag will not carry you over the rim. At an arrow bend, start pushing toward the glowing wall about 20 metres before the turn, so you reach the rim while the water is already throwing you outward. A good flight skips well over 150 metres of slide. A miss costs about a second in the water, a few metres and around half your speed, and the shortcut is still worth that risk.
Ride the middle over boost pads
Boost pads only fire when you cross them low in the chute, near the bottom. If you are holding a hard drag and riding up the wall, you slide past and get nothing. Each pad adds a big burst of speed, and a boost run lays two pads about 20 metres apart. Let go of the screen as the first one comes up, let the water settle you into the middle, and stay there until the second pad is behind you.
Let the slide pull you in when you fly
In the air you already drift gently toward the slide below, and dragging the other way cancels that help, so only nudge when you are clearly heading off. Aim for the middle of the chute; on a long flight a landing up to about a metre outside the rim still catches you. Try to land pointing down the slide, because only the speed along the chute carries on after touchdown. Closed tubes and ramp gaps cannot catch you, so never aim for them.
Shove rivals from the inside of a bend
When two riders touch, each is pushed away from the other, so in a bend the rider on the outside goes toward the rim and the inside rider is pushed to safety. Take the inside line and lean into rivals there. If a rival flies over the rim within about a second of your bump and splashes down, the knockout and its 5 coins are yours. Skip this at arrow bends, where the shove can launch them onto the shortcut. Never ride into someone from behind: it slows you and speeds them up.
Keep small drags in open chutes and dodge the rings
Open chutes have low walls, with the rim far lower than on a normal slide, so a hard drag that is safe elsewhere can tip you over the side, and there is no shortcut there to land on. Keep your drags small until the walls rise again. Floating rings come three in a row, each on the left, middle or right of the chute. Touching one knocks you sideways and costs a fifth of your speed, so pick your line early and slide around them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play Splash Rush?
Drag left or right anywhere on the screen to slide across the water chute and up its walls. With a keyboard use A and D or the arrow keys. The slope gives you speed on its own. Get into the pool before the spots in the round are gone. P pauses the game.
Which rider am I at the start?
You are the rider in the back row, in the middle of the chute, with a yellow YOU tag above you. In an online cup the other real players start in the back row too. A jet of water shoots you through the pack when the race starts, and a yellow marker stays above you all race.
How does a cup work?
A cup is three rounds. Sixteen riders start and the first ten into the pool go through. Ten riders race the second round and six go through. Six riders race the final and the top three win the cup and move you on to the next one.
What happens if I am knocked out?
When the last spot in a round is taken, everyone still on the slide is out. You start the cup again from the first round, or you can watch an optional short video to retry only the round you lost. Nothing is locked behind the video.
How do I fly off the slide?
In a tight bend, steer toward the outer wall where the yellow arrows glow. When you ride over the rim you launch into the air. Keep dragging toward the slide further down to land on it and skip ahead.
What happens if I miss the slide?
You splash into the water below and are put back on the slide a moment later, a few metres before the spot where you flew off. Once per round a Revive button appears for a moment; an optional short video puts you back on the slide below where you flew instead.
What is a knockout?
If you bump a rival over the rim of the slide and they splash into the water, it counts as your knockout. The counter sits next to your place and every knockout pays a few coins.
Can I race other players?
Yes. From the second cup, a cup can start online and real players who are looking for a race at the same moment ride the same slide with you. You can also choose to play offline. The first cup is always played offline.
I finished tenth and moved to a new slide. Is that right?
Yes. In the first round the top ten go through, so tenth is the last spot and you made it. Every round is raced on a new slide: ten riders race the second round, six of them reach the final, and the top three there win the cup.
Do I need to download anything or pay?
No. Splash Rush runs directly in the browser with no download, plugin or account. It is free; optional short videos double a payout, revive you once per round or retry a lost round.
Is Splash Rush like Aquapark.io?
Yes. You ride a swim ring down a giant water slide against other riders, and flying off a tight bend to land further down is how you jump ahead. It is our own game, not the official Aquapark.io. Each cup is three rounds: sixteen riders start, ten go through, then six race the final for the top three, and from the second cup real players can join you online. It runs free in the browser on phones and computers, with no download needed.
