Jelly Squeeze tips & strategy
Slide early and in small steps
Walls come about once a second, so the jelly should already be close to the next shape when the hole outline appears. Make a short slide as soon as the outline turns red rather than one big slide at the last moment, and stop the moment it turns gold. Small corrections keep your perfect streak alive. If you do bump, fix your shape straight away: the jelly slips through on the next push instead of hitting the same wall three times.
Squash wide between walls to sweep gems
From course seven the road between walls carries gem rows, and your jelly only collects the gems its body covers. A short wide jelly sweeps the side rows, while a tall thin one gets only the middle line. Squash down right after a wall, collect the row, then slide back towards the next hole while there is still room.
Treat a Gem Rush as a sweep, not a race
A Gem Rush has fewer walls and long stretches of gem rows, and the stars come from the share you collect. Stay wide through every row, watch for funnels and diagonal lines that drift towards the middle, and only go thin for the hole itself. Missing a whole edge row costs more than a small bump.
Save FEVER for the hard walls
Six perfect fits in a row start FEVER and the jelly smashes through walls without fitting them. You cannot choose when it starts, but you can keep your streak for the stretches with double walls and sliding holes, where a smash saves you a likely bump. A bump during the build-up resets the streak.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play Jelly Squeeze?
The jelly runs and turns with the road by itself. Keep your finger on the screen and slide up to make it tall and thin, slide down to make it short and wide, and stop anywhere in between. The shape follows your finger the whole time, so a longer slide means a bigger change. On your first run the first three walls wait for you until your shape fits. On a keyboard hold Up or W and Down or S. Match the hole in each wall before you reach it; the outline on the next hole turns gold for a perfect fit, green when you fit and red when you will bump.
What is FEVER?
Every perfect fit grabs a gem and fills the FEVER bar. Six perfects in a row start FEVER: the screen turns green, the jelly speeds up and smashes through walls without needing to fit them for a few seconds.
What happens if I hit a wall?
Nothing ends. The jelly bounces back off the wall, a chunk of the wall breaks away and the hole gets bigger. Keep the wrong shape and the third hit smashes the wall open; fix your shape after the first hit and you slip through on the next push. Each wall you bump costs stars once, however many times you hit it: one bumped wall or fewer earns three stars, up to four earns two. In Endless each bumped wall costs one of your three hearts.
What are gems for?
Gems buy new jelly colours in the course map. You earn them from perfect fits, from walls smashed during FEVER, from the gem rows on the road and from finishing a course.
What is a Gem Rush?
Every sixth course (6, 12, 18 and so on) is a Gem Rush bonus course. It has fewer walls and the road between them is packed with rows of gems. Your jelly collects a gem when its body passes over it, so squash it wide between walls to sweep the outer rows, then match the next hole. Stars come from the share you collect: 95 percent earns three stars, 80 percent earns two.
What are Endless and Daily?
Endless opens after course three: the road never ends, the speed keeps rising and you have three hearts. Daily opens after course five: everyone gets the same course that day, and you race for your best time.
Does it save my progress?
Yes. Cleared courses, stars, gems, unlocked jelly colours, your Endless record and the Daily best are stored on your device, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off.
Is Jelly Squeeze like Jelly Shift?
Yes. You change the shape of a jelly, tall and thin or short and wide, to fit the hole in each wall coming at you. It is our own game, not the official Jelly Shift. The road here winds through sharp corners and S-bends, perfect fits fill a FEVER bar that smashes you through walls, and a wrong shape bounces you back until you fix it or the wall breaks on the third hit. Gem Rush bonus courses come back every six courses, and the jelly sweeps gems with its body, wide for the side rows. There are fifty-four courses in three worlds plus Endless and a Daily run, free in the browser.
