Crowd Blaster tips & strategy

  1. Count the gates before you aim

Two blue gates stacked in one lane multiply twice, so a ×2 followed by a ×3 beats a lone ×5. Look down each lane before the first wave arrives and park the cannon behind the lane with the biggest product, not the biggest single number. Steer the stream around purple ÷ gates even when they sit in front of a good gate.

  2. Break hedges early

A hedge in front of a gold gate costs a few seconds of fire, and the gold corridor behind it pays that back many times over for the rest of the stage. Break it while the first scouts are still walking down, before the main wave needs your crowd.

  3. Use kegs as bombs, not obstacles

A powder keg rolls down with a red wave. Do not shoot it the moment it appears: wait until the red crowd is packed around it, then send a few soldiers into it and the blast wipes out dozens at once. If it reaches the bottom it hits the cannon, so never let one roll past your crowd.

  4. Time the moving pieces

Spike carts and flip gates both follow a steady rhythm. Watch one full pass of the cart and fire through the lane right after it leaves. A flip gate shows a draining bar under its banner; fire while it reads ×3 and stop or slide away just before it turns ÷2.

  5. Deal with giants and guards first

A giant stomps flat every gate it walks through, so meet it with a big crowd high up the field before it reaches your best gates. A guard post sits in front of the best gate and eats the first soldiers that arrive; clear it with a short burst, then the gate behind it is yours for the rest of the stage. Break prisoner cages on the edge when you have a spare second, the freed squad joins the fight.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play Crowd Blaster?

Drag sideways anywhere on the screen, or hold A / D or the arrow keys, to slide the cannon along its rail. It fires soldiers by itself. Aim the stream through the multiplier gates, then let your army fight the red crowd.

How do the gates work?

A blue ×2 or ×3 gate copies every soldier who walks through it, once per gate, so two gates stacked in one lane beat a single one. Gold gates sit behind hedges and multiply even more once you break the hedge. Purple gates halve whoever walks through, so avoid them. Picking the right lane matters: after the opening stages a cannon that just sits still loses.

How do I break a hedge?

Keep the cannon aimed at it. Every soldier that hits it wears the BREAK counter down, and when it reaches zero the hedge falls and the gold corridor behind it opens.

How do I get three stars?

Send your stream through the strongest gates: stars count how many soldiers each shot turns into, and the win card shows your number and the mark for three stars. Keep a crowd between the red army and the cannon too, because a badly damaged cannon caps the stars.

What is Mayhem?

A bonus stage in every world, unlocked by clearing that world's fortress. A red sea fills the courtyard from the first second and the gates go up to ×99. Break the hedge in front of the ×99 gate before the sea reaches your cannon.

What changes from stage to stage?

A new idea arrives every three or four stages: powder kegs to shoot in the middle of the red crowd, spike carts to fire around, flip gates that switch between ×3 and ÷2, guard posts in front of the best gate, giants that stomp gates flat, castles with two doors and prisoner cages that free a blue squad. Later stages mix two or three of them with the gates, hedges, brutes and runners you already know.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Cleared stages, stars and the next unlocked stage are stored in your browser on this device. Close the tab and you pick up where you left off.

Is Crowd Blaster like Mob Control?

Yes. You slide a cannon that fires soldiers through x2 and x3 gates, grow a crowd and send it at a red army and its gatehouse. It is our own game, not the official Mob Control. It has sixty stages across four worlds, hedges that hide gold gates until you break them, purple gates that halve your crowd, powder kegs, spike carts, flip gates, guard posts, giants, twin-door castles and prisoner cages, a fortress siege in each world and a Mayhem stage. It plays free in the browser with no download.
